unforgettable family vacation
We just came back from an unforgettable family vacation of almost three weeks in Tanzania and Zanzibar, all planned and arranged by Amani Makoka– Safari View Camp - and we could not be more grateful. The trip was divided into three parts: Kilimanjaro Trek – 6 days with an incredible crew of 21 people, including highly professional guides, cooks, and porters. They did everything so that we succeed in the challenge and reach the summit - carried all the gear, set up camp, cooked delicious meals, and monitored our health daily (pulse, oxygen, and well-being). Safari – 5 days across four different national parks, with knowledgeable guides, fluent English, and endless insights about wildlife. Amani personally joined one of the vehicles to ensure everything ran smoothly. Zanzibar – 4 days of beaches, diving, and relaxation to end the journey in paradise. As a religious Jewish family (keeping Shabbat and Kosher), Amani’s understanding and sensitivity were outstanding. He made sure hotels were prepared in advance, Kosher food needs were respected, new cooking utensils were used during the trek, and Shabbat was spent in hotels suitable for extended stays. On top of all this, Amani is a kind and pleasant person, highly professional, with excellent English, deep safari knowledge, and with the ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively. We wholeheartedly recommend Amani to anyone planning a trip to Tanzania or Zanzibar – thanks to him, we had a once-in-a-lifetime family experience!

An unforgettable experience
The camp was localised in an open place with excellent views of the sun set. The tent-hut was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely cary, kind and competent. They worked hard to keep us safe and happy all the time. Sitting at the terrace to have a beer after a safari day,in the company of our dear hosts, was a pleasure we will never forget. My second time going to Serengeti National Park for a safari tour was amazing. I chose to stay at the Safari View Luxury camp for two nights. Wow, the camp was so beautiful, surrounded by nature. This is the most beautiful and elegant camp that I have ever seen at Serengeti National Park. This camp also has a bar where you can sit down and have a drink. The staff were very professional and extremely nice. The food they served was delicious. I wish I could have stayed longer at this camp because the bed was comfortable. At night, I could hear some animal sounds such as lions, zebras, hyenas, etc. Early in the morning, I could watch the sunrise and enjoy the fresh air. 2 stays at this camp; one in pouring rain, the next in fine weather. Pleasant location
An interesting camp. Welcome team are lovely and the staff are all very helpful. The cabins are spacious, however they are quite dark due to the wood paneling and the dim lighting. The beds are netted thankfully. The bed would be the hardest bed I have ever slept in so was difficult to sleep. The dining experience was good, food was basic but nice. Drink selection was good and reasonably priced. They only accepted USD cash at checkout. They offered a walk to watch the sunset over the hill just behind the camp area. Using the water for morning showers seems to be a difficulty: either no water or only cold. I’d recommend having a shower before dinner to save any disappointment. Overall an okay stay

Fabulous view, accommodation and food
We had a 1 night stay and were delighted with this accomodation. The tents were very spacious, the bed large and comfortable and the mosquito net was set to not have to touch the edges of the bed. Each tent had a veranda to sit and enjoy the fabulous Serengeti view. The lounge area had large comfortable leather lounges and a large veranda. The dining area had lovely furniture. There was free WiFi that reached the tents. There were 5 power sockets in our tent. The staff were friendly and attentive. In evening you require a Masai escort if moving to/ from tent and a walkie-talkie is provided. The food was delicious and a lunch picnic box was provided. There was a tip-box at reception to allow visitors to tip once for all staff. There was an optional sunset walk up ( with guide) onto the rocky kopje adjacent to the camp.

Tolle Unterkunft inmitten der Serengeti
Eine tolle Übernachtungslodge mitten in der Serengeti. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen und vor allem auch das Frühstück waren reichhaltig und top (wenn man mal bedenkt, dass man inmitten von nirgendwo ist). Die Zelte, Dusche, etc. Waren einen Einmalige Erfahrung. Morgens ging uns leider das Wasser aus - ist halt Afrika 🤷‍♂️! Wir hatten nichts zu bemängeln und der Sonnenaufgang vom Bett inmitten von Zebras, Gnus, Giraffen, etc. war sehr besonders.
